Baló Sámuel Trio

The Baló Sámuel Trio was formed in the spring of 2020. With their concert in January 2021 - at the “Jazz Showcase” event organized by the Palace of Arts which were appreciated by the jury of national and international members they won two prestigous awards (BMC, Harcsa Veronika),

In addition to the MÜPA and other venues in the countryside, they have also performed at the BJC, the Opus Jazz Club and the Valley of Arts. They like to play with accompanied by wind instruments. One of their returning guests is the Kossuth Prize winner Mihály Dresch.

Their repertoire consists mainly of Sámuel Baló’s own compositions, inspired by impressions, moods, experiences and memories. The compositions often draw on the world of modal jazz and folk music, trying to give a lot of space and freedom to improvisation and musical communication between the members, so that each time they sound a little different, take on a different colour and remain fresh.
